I have my engineering degree from Penn State and worked in heavy industry as a mechanical engineer for 15 years before starting my own business in cryogenic processing of wear parts for increased durability. I got involved in maintenance reliability as a contractor with vibration, lubrication, and infrared inspection certs on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda and around the US. In 2008 I was hired by WellSpan Health as a Director of Facilities and project managed at $50 million hospital green field construction and asked to develop the maintenance program. My team was awarded the Uptime Award for Emerging Programs in 2011 for the work we did. I am now working on the maintenance reliability program for WellSpan Health to move it out of the reactive mode and into RCM. Healthcare has a long was to go to catch up to industry, love the challenge!
