Good morning everybody! and happy Weekend

Can I have some recommendations of resources (books, papers, etc.) that can help me get stronger on the condition monitoring field?

There is a very long list.  Here are a few of my favorites and two of my own:

    1. Vibration Analysis for Rotating Equipment, Red Wolf Reliability, Mitchell Stansloski
    2. Vibration Spectrum Analysis, Steve Goldman
    3. Current Signature Analysis for Condition Monitoring of Cage Induction Motors, William Thomson and Ian Culbert
    4. Electrical Motor Diagnostics 2nd Ed., Howard Penrose
    5. Practical Electrical and Current Signature Analysis of Electrical Machinery and Systems, Howard Penrose

A library from the US DOE in relation to electric machines and other areas (free downloads).  They've made them a little harder to find, but all relate to maintenance programs:
Motor Systems | Department of Energy
Steam Systems | Department of Energy
Pump Systems | Department of Energy
Compressed Air Systems | Department of Energy

And there are a few more.  Just requires some digging, including some of the free books elsewhere in Federal sites.

EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) has also provided much of their non-nuclear work in the area of maintenance and predictive maintenance at no cost.  Go to https://www.epri.com and search topics such as predictive maintenance, maintenance, etc. and any documents over about 10 years old and not considered utility-sensitive are available.

There are additional resources, of course.

For the acoustic or air-borne ultrasound technique which works like a stethoscope to detect both internal noises or friction versus lubrication, as well as electrical leakage and gas leaks.

         There
are two major manufacturers which could be guidelines or guides to learn this condition monitoring technology and they are as follows:
                 1. https://www.uesystems.com/
                 2. https://sdtultrasound.com/
There are more but these are from the most recognized manufacturers.

I respectfully submit that you investigate https://Reliabilityweb.com/en/bookstore for a comprehensive list of texts, DVDs and other materials developed by Reliability web publishing that cover condition monitoring. In particular my text "Asset Condition Monitoring Management" provides illustrated ideas from award winning organizations that have relatively quickly developed and continue to grow their programs. In addition, the 4-volume set written by Canadian co-author, Geoffrey Generalovic, and me, titled "Motor Electrical Predictive Maintenance and Testing, (9th Edition)" provides theory, construction and characteristics of motors to provide a basis for understanding technologies used in manufacturing, repair and condition monitoring. Volume 3 titled "Technologies for Electrical Predictive Condition Monitoring (9th Edition)" describes 6 different analysis techniques used in condition monitoring and shows how up to 15 different technologies and/or test methods can be used to assess motor health. Volume 4 describes how to manage a motor reliability program. While the latter volumes address motors, the principles are applicable to whatever you're monitoring.

Luis, if you are looking for a partner in this process I would love to share our condition monitoring sensors and intuitive alert system with you.  You may find that a continuous stream of data is more effective for predicting failures.
