The Deming cycle and continuous improvement cannot succeed with regular feedback. Management must empower personnel and support their feedback. Everybody, hired yesterday and senior personnel, must be able to add their knowledge to the discussion.
Do not start a new program such as a suggestion box. Those become the shiny new thing and then are neglected. Use the CMMS or other existing tools so there is no learning curve, and all can participate as well as track their input and response.
Management give a response to all whether moving forward, tabling, or declining, including why.
