Hello Lesiba,
I think you're on the right track, the tonnage per side of the liner along with the thickness measurement is most ideal. However, due to varying hardness levels of the aggregate, it would be helpful to track jaw crusher motor current draw to ensure that it isn't being utilized harder than normal during certain runs. Does your liner have ceramic inserts as well?

Greetings Maintenance and Reliability Engineers π¨π½βπ»
I'm looking at creating a failure prediction model for jaw crusher liners and would love your input.
Currently I track how work it has done in tons and during every shutdown/ opportunistic maintenance jump in to take thickness measurements.
The school of thought is when I reaches thickness x flip the liners over to use the "fresh" sides.
Should I be looking at anything else as this would feed into the annual maintenance plan for the future
