    Good Work Brian !

I beleive you touch on so many pertinent points to achieve maintenance excellence.

I like both the structure and content of the book.

The case study on maintenance strategy was excellent :

I would suggest is to add more case study to culture of openness, integrity , awereness of mental health.

What is your target audience ?

In the 80/20 rules of information retention , people tend to remember the concept or ideas if there a story behind it.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Again great Work!

    Brian,

You have a marketable document. My recommendation without knowing your writing background is check your document with an editor software. I am using Word Editor as I write this. Your document requires several years of college or equivalent experience to comprehend.

I have been writing policies and procedures as a power plant SME since 2001 when I started in power generation as an operator. At first, I was updating obsolete information which led to challenging and testing the present information and then creating new information.

I wrote to impress. My work required college level knowledge to comprehend although most power plant personnel are not college educated.

Eventually a colleague informed me that "makes sense to Larry does not equal makes sense to all". I took some writing courses and started using editor checking software. I am not a professional technical writer, but I play one at work 😊The overall grade to read my work dropped from as high as grade 18 to averaging around grade 11 and sometimes lower. O&M documents require some technical jargon and structure so score high grade levels.

The average reader in the US today successfully comprehends about 8th grade. Material written above is challenging for most. Writing O&M documents requires a grade level above 8 but I simplify where possible with Word Editor.

Reading your book, I thought at first, we might be in competition. Now complete, I think our documents complement each other. Mine is not ready for peer review yet because my first reviewer is my wife, and I only gave it to her today. She has no maintenance background but trains teachers how to teach and is an excellent reviewer because she knows language and not maintenance.

When ready, I will follow your lead and seek peer review here.
