Setting up correct maintenance and reliability program for an asset which is installed at operating facility must require following reliability enablers for smooth and steady operation
1. Asset classification and identification with respect to name and home typically call SAP equipment number and tag number.
2. Spare parts catalog planning just after placing purchase order for material scope of supply
3. Setting up right maintenance plan as per OEM recommendations
4. Update and maintain operational and process related documents such ad OIM and P&ID and ensure asset safety and integrity safe operating limits are reviewed and established
5. Baseline asset data for life cycle costing and other considerations such as lubricant type ,use and compatibility.
6. You need to know how critical is the asset for your normal operation so criticality ranking such as A- critical, B- Important and C- normal asset must be done as a part of maintenance and operation planning
7- Certain maintenance tasks must be considered for the asset having no residency and unable to perform maintenance due to accessibility for craft persons to execute PM.
