  • 2020 SMRP Symposia: Call for Abstracts and Workshops Now Open!

    SMRP is now accepting track session abstracts for the 2020 Abu Dhabi, Bogota and Denver Symposia, and workshop proposals for the Denver Symposium.
  • SMRP Announces 2019 Award Recipients

    SMRP is pleased to announce the winners of the Volunteer of the Year and CMRP of the Year awards. These awards recognize SMRP members and CMRP-certified individuals for their contributions to SMRP and the maintenance, reliability and physical asset management profession.

    • Aleck Santamaria De La Cruz, CMRP, CAMA, PMP, is the 2019 CMRP of the Year - Veteran Professional. Aleck is the strategy and asset management Vice President at Confipetrol.

    • Dalal Al-Asousi, CMRP, CIAM, CPAM, CAMA, is the 2019 CMRP of the Year Rising Leader. Dalal is a Senior Process Reliability Engineer at Kuwait National Petroleum Company and the first Kuwaiti female to receive the CMRP certification.

    • Chase Sasser, CMRP, is the 2019 Volunteer of the Year, recognized for his service as Chair of the SMRP Alabama Chapter and SMRP Symposium.

  • New Benefits, Improvements and Expanded Accessibility for CMRP & CMRT Program

    We are excited to announce a host of new benefits and improvements to come for the Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) programs.

    Newly appointed SMRPCO Executive Director Jane Siggelko will lead implementation of the program’s enhancements to including improved accessibility and online functionality for those becoming certified, recertifying or currently certified, and enhanced efforts to promote the value of CMRP and CMRT to industry audiences worldwide. 


    • Accessibility: SMRPCO is partnering with Pearson VUE, the world's largest learning company, to make the CMRP and CMRT exams available in more than 5,000 testing centers around the world, including United States’ military bases, both home and abroad.
    • Immediate & Full Score Reports: Exam-takers will now receive a full score report immediately upon completion. While pass/fail results have been available in the past, this detailed report will allow individuals to assess improvement opportunities the minute they step away from the exam.
    • Digital Badges: In an effort to emphasize the value and importance of an individual’s CMRP and CMRT certifications, those passing or recertifying will receive digital badges hyperlinked to an online resource with detailed information on the CMRP and CMRT.
    • Certificates: Upon passing, certificants will now receive a complimentary print certificate mailed to their home address.

    The implementation of outlined improvements and benefits now are under way and will continue through to the fall. Stay tuned for news regarding all of the new benefits and additions coming to certification in 2019.

  • Final Day to Apply for SMRP Scholarships!

    Today is the final day to submit scholarship applications for the 2019 - 2020 academic year! SMRP is offering five scholarships, from $2,000 to $10,000, to students pursuing coursework related to maintenance, reliability or physical asset management. Students do not need to be members of SMRP to qualify. Applicants are evaluated on grade point average, work experience, extracurricular activities and merit. Students completing two-year programs are eligible to apply for all but one of the five scholarships, applicants must be a rising junior or senior in a four-year program to qualify for the SMRP Legacy of Excellence Scholarship.

    SMRP's 27th Annual Conference returns October 7-10, and this year we're headed to Louisville, KY! Explore our exciting lineup of speakers, track sessions, workshops and more at the premier event for maintenance, reliability and physical asset management professionals, hosted at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Register now to join more than 1,200 professionals from across the globe for four days of education, networking, innovation and certification.
  • The 2019 SMRP Awards: Nominate Outstanding Members Today

    Nominations are now open for the 2019 SMRP Awards! Annually, SMRP presents three awards - the CMRP of the Year: Rising Leader, CMRP of the Year: Veteran Professional and Volunteer of the Year. The awards are presented to three outstanding members for their exemplary work, demonstrated leadership and commitment to excelling within and advancing the maintenance, reliability and physical asset management profession. 

    Individuals are invited to nominate colleagues or submit self-nominations for this award program. Winners will be honored in front of 1,200 of their peers during the 2019 SMRP Annual Conference. Submit nominations by June 30, 2019.
  • Calling all Latin American Members: Register for the Symposium in Peru

    It's not too late to register! Join SMRP in Lima, Peru, on March 6-7, 2019, for the very first international SMRP Symposium. The two-day event will feature 14 track sessions across two maintenance and reliability tracks. Don't miss the opportunity to learn and network with your peers.

  • Registration Now Open for the 2019 Phoenix Symposium

    Early bird registration for the 2019 SMRP Symposium in Phoenix, Arizona, June 26 - 27, 2019, is now open! The Symposium will feature 16 sessions across four tracks, eight workshops, three local facility tours, and an opening keynote delivered by Red Conger, President and Chief Operating Officer (Americas) at Freeport-McMoRan, Inc. Attendees will also enjoy networking opportunities with fellow professionals along with CMRP, CMRT and CAMA exams. Register by May 10 to secure early bird rates.
