The SMRP Certifying Organization (SMRPCO) is seeking qualified individuals to participate in a two-day item writing workshop for the Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) Practice Exam. Two workshops will be held back-to-back.
Background
SMRPCO is developing practice exams to help candidates prepare to take the CMRT exam. Item writing is a critical step in SMRPCO’s practice exam development process.
Item Writing Workshop
Pearson VUE’s content development team will facilitate two virtual item writing workshops for 12-15 subject matter experts (SMEs) online on July 20-21 and July 22-23, 2021.
During the two-day workshops, Pearson VUE will train participants on:
- Item content guidelines
- Item terminology and writing guidelines
- Metadata
- Item writing tasks, goals and processes
After training takes place, participants will spend time individually and as a group writing and reviewing questions.
Requirements for participation
- Must hold an active CMRT credential
- Must be able to fully participate in both days of one the workshops (9:00 AM Eastern to 5:00 PM Eastern on July 20-21 of July 22-23).
