The SMRP Certifying Organization (SMRPCO) is seeking qualified individuals to participate in a two-day virtual form review workshop for the Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) Exam.
Background
SMRPCO is in the process of developing new forms, or exams, to publish later this year. To ensure the CMRP exam continues to be a rigorous, experience-based exam, SMRPCO enlists the help of qualified volunteers to review the forms that are built by our testing partner, Pearson VUE.
Form Review Workshop
Pearson VUE’s content development team will facilitate a virtual form review workshop for up to five subject matter experts (SMEs) on April 5-6, 2021. Prior to the workshop, SMEs will be asked to conduct an individual review about a week before the workshop. This review will also be done virtually at the SMEs’ own pace.
During the two-day workshop, SMEs will be given a role as the group validates the exam. Those roles include:
- Verifying that questions are clear and current
- Verifying that each answer option makes sense (multiple SMEs will have this job)
- Validating the metadata (exam blueprint designation and reference)
Though individuals will be assigned specific roles, the workshop will be two full days of collaborative group work.
Considerations for participation
- Must hold an active CMRP credential
- Must be able to conduct a self-paced virtual assignment prior to the workshop
- Must be able to join a virtual meeting on April 5-6, 2021
- Cannot be on the SMRP Board of Directors or SMRP Certifying Organization Commission
- Practitioners are strongly desired
- Must sign a nondisclosure and confidentiality agreement
Benefits of Participating
- Share your knowledge and expertise with peers
- Contribute to the leading ANSI-accredited exam for maintenance and reliability
- Earn recertification hours for actual hours spent in pre-workshop activity and during workshop (up to 24)
- Learn about the exam development process from Pearson VUE – the global leader in computer-based testing
Diversity & Application Selection
