We only use auto greasers in locations, such as screw conveyors, where any excess grease is useful for keeping contamination out of the bearings. Wherever possible, we use ultrasound-assisted greasing instead. Someone listens to each bearing with ultrasound, and grease is only added if it is needed. This approach has two benefits. One, the bearing gets exactly the amount of grease it needs. No more, no less. And two, someone listens to every bearing, so we catch any developing failures early. If we come across anything questionable, we can double-check it with vibration analysis to determine what the fault is and how severe it is.

Auto greasing is a good system but, in our case, the tubes connecting seems to get chocked more frequent and led to leaning from the fitting (SS tube bolts). Kindly advise if same sicario concern applies to your asset

Auto greasing has its pros and con. Pros are that you set the dosing feed and forget it Cons are grease drying and plugging feed lines. Ultrasonic sensors with built in grease dispensers are the best ACM practice out today. This is actual condition based PdM.  Best way to go by far. Hope this helps
