Hope this message finds you well. Please forgive me if it is that I am using this forum to highlight the following issues in my personal opinion as a matter of HIGH IMPORTANCE.

I have been receiving emails and other communication links from employers requesting VERIFICATION and AUTHENTICATION for people who are seeking employment on their present CMRP/CMRT certification. There are individuals who have not renewed for many years and are currently using the certification credentials. Therefore, as a reputable and international recognized professional and certification institution, we must find a way to avoid, control and stop this. To do so, I am suggesting that the SMRPCO team and by extension the Management and Board of Directors to CONSIDER a ONE-TIME moratorium (3 months from notification date) for those who have their certifications lapsed to consider renewing. They would have to pay the a) renewal fees, b) submit proof of attaining the required 50 hours and c) a letter from their employer for reinstatement.

There are over 10K CMRP certification holders and 5K CMRT's. Approximately 60% of those holders are not members. The question is, how are we going to get those holders to become members and to join local chapters?
If the SMRP needs to grow its certifications and membership we need to take a look at other organizations to see what they are doing and implement such methods.
