Many thanks. I sketched preventative and curative procedures. As I have to define for differents equipments and their main components the differents symptoms, causes, remedies of defaults/failures, do you think I can take à FMECA approach and identify the symptoms with the failure mode as described in the OMM (troubleshooting manuals) , and the causes with the failure mechanisms ?

Are you wanting workorder workflow diagrams, or something else? Sorry, I was just involved with the Error codes and root cause. I do have some access to other documents from our team collaboration. I can only provide generic information. I have included a Planning Workflow diagram. Not sure if that is what your looking for.

Hi all. Greetings!
Thanks Gary for your reply. I "browsed" the ISO files you mentioned and they are a good starting point. it helps. Are there similar documents or template for the curative and preventive procedure?
Regards

I recently was a member of a team at SKF to develop a master template to be used at all SKF sites for the CMMS (eMaint) and we closely followed ISO 14224 - Collection and exchange of reliability and maintenance data for equipment and EN 13306 - Maintenance - Maintenance terminology when developing our CMMS Standards. Mind you there was some modification from ISO14224 because it was originally written for the petro-chemical industry, and we are mainly industrial manufacturing. It gives a good starting point to standardize the CMMS. Hope this helps

Hi dear all
May be this topic has already been covered but I am posting it again.
Working within the maintenance of heavy equipment and in order to implement a CMMS, I would like to know if:
1. there is a standard template of codification and naming for the different module a CMMS can have like maintenance ranges, preventive maintenance activities, correctives activities and basics TPM activities.
2. Is there also a template of procedure or operating mode for preventive and curative management?
3. And finally, if there is a template or standard of codification to define a root cause tree: like symptoms, causes, remedy. (For this last point I can check in the part books of the equipment to find insights, but finding a common core for codification will be helpful).
These coding conventions if followed would be helpful for proper and good implementation of the CMMS. Any support is welcomed.
Thanks in advance for you reply.
