Everyone,
Greetings from the Gulf Coast. My name is Cris Gotangco Jr. I've been in the petrochemical industry for a little over 32 years. I started in Operations, was a Sr Fixed Equipment Reliability Inspector for 17 years in multiple process units and facilities, worked as a multi-craft maintenance foreman, and have been managing turnarounds since 2017. Through out my inspection career, I was fortunate to work with outstanding process engineers, reliability engineers, metallurgists, and SMEs for all types of RCFA. The lessons I learned during my time as a Sr. Fixed Equipment Reliability Inspector and Operator, I incorporate to support multi-discipline teams to ensure we incorporate industry best practices and lessons learned while preparing for and executing turnarounds.
Since retiring from the military in 2024 and being laid off from my civilian job in 2025, I started working on an endeavor to mitigate the ever-growing craft shortage. I started up Beyond Visible Range Solutions LLC. I'm currently working with regional craft training facilities to promote vocational and career opportunities in all trades and am working with the military to guide transitioning personnel to the next stage of their career. On a personal note, I joined SMRP to continue my personal development in preparation for the next stage of my career so I can contribute my next organization's reliability successes while I get BVRS set up as my labor of love.
