    May I please ask, is there any sort of forum for new members? The website provides a few answers, but, frankly, not so much, not all basics.  For just possible examples, overall, how does one best get connected?  How does one connect with local groups?  Is there one on the east coast?  What is a typical annual conference agenda? What is the relationship with the IAM organization. Can one get a contact within the organization to do an initial 5 or 10 minute hello? (I have called several times but never spoke anyone).

    My name is Charles Robertson. I recently completed a 20 year career in the Army as a fleet maintenance manager supporting Airborne, Aviation, and Special Operations units. As I began researching how maintenance strategy is applied in civilian sectors, I found that SMRP and IFMA closely align with the principles used in Army maintenance. That alignment led me to join the organization.

    I look forward to connecting with the chapter, contributing as an active member, and beginning this new chapter in my career. Part of middle Tennessee chapter.
