First of all, thanks for your generous help.

    Here is my question.

How can I arrange the PM and estimate the time spend in maintenance task?I know the task procedure but can't estimate so accurate, because lack of experience. And I want to become a planner, which books or resources I can learn?

    Best regards

    Hi,

Unfortunately, each task procedure may vary across facilities. I can suggest that since you know the procedure, engage the maintenance technicians to help determine the estimated time. Depending on their personalities you may have to observe the task execution in person to record times but If there is a technician who is experienced and approachable you may be able to ask.

Regarding books: look for anything indicating wrench time etc. also, see attachment.

    Thank you so much.

I know the time will base on these factors like maintenance staff numbers, staff proficiency, and task package, etc.

And SMRP world-class is 50~55% wrench time, I will consider the different factors to arrive the goal.

Estimating time frame requires field validations for different task start by an educated guess then once a week see the task through and see if the time frame makes sense
