I'm looking for a RCA software to use at our plant. Can anyone recommend ones you have worked with, what you liked and do you still use it?

We've used the Apollo RealityCharting software for a long time and I've been really happy with it. It does a good job of forcing people to systematically think through causes, identify multiple causes for the cause and effect chain and document their evidence. Our corporate group tried to move to a different tool (Excel) and most of the business units rebelled and are still using Apollo because its so much better for RCI's than the proposed replacement.

I am currently using Causelink by https://www.sologic.com/ . We have found it to be very intuitive and easy to build out logic trees. It has solution tracking capabilities and generates a nice final report. We train on the Apollo method for RCA which this software is in-line with. I like this method for it's ability to promote creative problem solving and it's adaptability to many situations. There are advantages to other methods that follow a more rigid categorization of causes but the Causelink is quick and effective at determining the root causes and applying solutions.

I have been using the Apollo Root Cause methodology for more than 25 years with great success. The software is called RealityCharting. Using Apollo requires a few days of training, but the return on the investment is huge. You can see the software and I believe a few videos at realitycharting.com.

We have migrated to Easy RCA.  It follows a similar path as the Apollo but allows you to use the 5 why, Fishbone or a multi fault path.

I used Sologic for several years. It works great and I recommend it. Apollo works good too. Recommend evaluating all the choices as there are many.

In the past several months I have been using EASY RCA, from a Richmond, VA based company at website RELIABILITY.com. As I do more RCA on it, more people in our plant are getting to use it. Some people at my plant thought that we could place this software on our plant webpage for anyone at the plant to use, however it is seat based, meaning you must have your own username and password. It has a feature to suggest possible root causes from keywords entered in the RCA that sparks conversation in a dead silent room. I have also exposed people to the software at group meetings and training sessions where people from several functions are present.  The people at RELIABILITY.com have been helpful and offered online classes to help new users learn about using the features of the software. So far, I have been pleased with it. I am interested in what others have to add about RCA software available.

We have been using Easy RCA for about 3 months now. It has made it easier to run RCAs and has resulted in more of the site leadership getting interested in RCA's and attending the training.

I have used Engage E-Strategy by Endevor (endevor.com) and found it to be user friendly and effective.
