  • 1.  What are maintenance folks called in your industry?

    Hey everyone, I am curious what maintenance folks are called at your company.

    In the education space, used to be the “maintenance dude” or “maintenance guy” years ago.

    What slang am I missing that’s more up to date now?

    Hola.
    En respuesta a la pregunta. Hoy me encuentro en una semillera llamada bayer en chile. Aqui se esta aplicando terminos en ingles como Facility service, fieldsupport ckn grados, 1,2 y 3. Todo en ingles, a si que persivo una tendencia fuerte de rener como centaja el saber hablar y leer en ingles. 
    Ese es mi pequeño aporte.

    We use Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Electrician, ICS (Integrated Controls Systems) Technician for our skilled maintenance craft technicians

    We use Industrial Mechanic (INME), Industrial Electrician (INEL), and Industrial Instrumentation and Controls Technician (INICT)

    In the lumber state of the art sawmill,
    we use millwright level 1,2,3
    we use PLC techs
    we use electricians 
    we use RCM which is Reliability Centered Maintenance Tech.
    we use Fluid Power Tech.
    we use Lubrication Techs
    we use fabricators
