I have been in the power generation industry for 20 years in the areas of operation, maintenance, and reliability. I currently work for the AES Corporation as the Maintenance Manager for AES Costa Norte, the largest Power Plant in the region and the first LNG Terminal in Central America. I`m proud to be a US war veteran, having served in the US Navy from 1999 to 2003.
I am a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional and Technician (CMRP & CMRT), a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) and have published articles in Knowledge Management, Key Performance Indicators, and Maintenance and Reliability subjects. As a regular conference presenter I`ve had the opportunity to speak at various international events in Peru, Panama, Spain, and the United States.
As far as education I received a BS in Electronics Technology from Excelsior College in Albany, NY in 2006, a BA in Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA in 2007, and an MBA from the Latin University of Panama in 2017. Currently a Doctoral Student at the Caribbean University of Panama, conducting research work in the field of Asset Management.
