Bio

My career began in 2000 when I was accepted to a 5-year apprenticeship to become a Journeyman Electrician. Throughout the apprenticeship and several years after completion I worked on commercial and industrial renovation and new construction projects. In 2009 I became a certified instrument technician. Working in numerous power plants and refineries. 2012 I was offered an in-house instrument technician position at a refinery 10 minutes from our home. This was a great opportunity for me since I decided to earn a bachelor’s degree in construction management when work slowed in 2009. This was a difficult decision however, I thought there would be more opportunities to advance my career. In 2013 I started work in the refinery as an instrument technician. It wasn’t long before I was the I & E planner, then the maintenance scheduler for the plant, and then managing improvement projects for our CMMS in 2017.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree in 2015 in construction management I returned to school to earn a graduate certificate in project management from Penn state university. I completed the PM Graduate certificate in 2017. In addition to my college education I wanted to improve my knowledge and understanding of what “maintenance” really was and how to effectively manage it. I went on to earn the Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) certification in 2017, the Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification in 2019. Still managing projects into 2020 I set my sights on earning the Project Management Professional credential. I Passed the PMP exam in November 2020.

I am fortunate to have worked with and continue to work with peers who have helped guide me throughout my career. I would not be where I am today without their guidance and candid honest conversations.
