Hi Walt,
sorry for the late reply ,
i am using Mainsaver too in my organization, i had faced the same issue with Mainsaver and i had to have some working sessions with the CMMS provider to be able to set reliability data for Power generation equipment (Turbine, compressor, generators,...). The CMMS provides futures for that but there are some specific settings:
*I guess your PM frequency code is based on running Hours.. if that is the case, you will be entering "asset downtime" values and change the "asset status" (ISF -In Service Full, ISL- In Service Limited, OOS- Out Of Service, ..); that way the system can easy compute availability/reliability data...
*Also, you need to well define your "fault Cod" table so that you can easily sort out repeated failure per asset, rework, .. and get accurate data analysis.
if you are interested to know more about those features and settings options, i suggest you should contact:

Power Gen users. What CMMS system do you use?
What do you like about it and what doesn't work well?
