There are several good resources for this:
Chapter 5 of Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices 3rd edition by Ramesh Gulati
Chapter 4 of Cover your Assets by Dr John L Ross Jr
the entire book Smart Inventory Solutions 2nd edition by Phillip Slater
You have to really understand exactly what type of inventory you're talking about because min-max might not be the right strategy at all. Each of these texts will help you break down your inventory into the proper segments to help perform the analysis to set a proper stocking level.
Good luck.

Subject: MIN-MAX Calculation
Hello Everyone,
Hope this meets you all well.
Please I require some help with inventory min-max calculations.
Does anyone have any realistic excel formulas for calculating min-max for inventory?
I have all the inventory usages from previous 3 years, but I need an active formula for min-max values.
I appreciate any help offered.
