  • 1.  Selecting a new EAM

I am interested in investigating options for EAMs that will help us manage our assets more effectively. We are using JD Edwards and the input to the CAM portion of the system takes too long and the outputs are not so useful. It is not a true maintenance software. I would like something that the maintenance associates will use and will give us good analytics to make decisions. It needs to easily bolt on to JD Edwards. Has anyone else gone through this process and have recommendations?

I am interested in selection criteria documents as a starting point for defining the needs if someone can share.

Steve, I also use JD Edwards at my current place of employment. About this time last year I convinced my Plant Manager that we needed a bolt-on system that was easy-to-use, cloud based, and that could integrate with JDE.  Our plan was to integrate the JDE work order system and the stockroom. We then went out and spec'd out 4-5 CMMS's and landed on a system that I used at previous employment. We looked at the standard CMMS systems, MaintainX, eMaint, Upkeep, and Leading2Lean (L2L).  I believe that any of these systems can get you what you're looking for.  I tended to favor L2L because that's the system that I used in previous employment, and in my opinion unbelievably easy to use. L2L is much more than your common CMMS system, however it does offer a Maintenance module that is affordable and does everything that a CMMS has.

    Hope this helps!
