  • 1.  Sources of Machine data and information

    Good day dear colleagues,

It is a very known fact that whenever we are developing a Data base for the specifications/operational data/information for our systems, the sources of information will be the OEM and any accumulated history we have in our facilities.

What are your recommendations for a young company (not much history records!) that is seeking more information sources for their own systems, what other sources they may look for?

    Hi,
I suggest to check your peers in the same industry! That's to say, your typical system /equipment should be running somewhere else in the same industry and geographic area, hence, apply proper benchmarking to figure out the required information and data.

There are various firms that provide Master Data enrichment as a service to populate minimum fields required to classify and identify a maintainable item or an equipment.
Please see link below for a standards based approach

You can send me a message and I can direct you to some who do this as their day-job in this part of the world.
